Ensemble Cellars Release #5

Enjoy Ensemble Cellar's fifth release of their Bordeaux-style red wine blends.  It's an enticing blend of exotic spice and dark cherries that teases the nose.  A smooth mouth feel leads to rich dark cherry flavors and layers of complexity. The trademark juniper notes and spicy French Oak come through clearly.  Well balanced with fine tannins and an exceptionally long finish. This wine has exceptional aging potential.

91 points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate and 91 points from the Wine Spectator.  This Rhone is "pure, elegant and distinctive," says Parker.  

2010 Hightower Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon

A deep, dark wine packed with engaging aromas of fresh blueberry and dark chocolate, the 2012 Pirouette is rich and complex from start to finish. Refined and textured on the palate with lively, mouth-filling blackberry jam flavors accompanied by hints of spice and fig that carry across a lingering finish. 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 12% Petit Verdot and 7% Cabernet Franc. Robert Parker gives it 93 points.  

2009 Brian Carter Cellars Solesce, Columbia Valley Red Wine

A Bordeaux-style red wine blend.  Wine Advocate gives this 92 points - Brian Carter Cellars has a passion for the art of blending.  This wine is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and incorporates smaller parts of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot - it gives up impressive black raspberry, currants, licorice and toasty notes to go with a medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated feel on the palate.
